For Veterans
Advanced Seating and Mobility proudly supports veterans as well as active and retired military personnel with mobility equipment and repair services. We work closely with most VAMC facilities in the VISN6 network. If you are a veteran, this is the process to obtain equipment from the VA.
Step 1: You need to talk to your doctor, occupational therapist or physical
therapist about the need for medical equipment. Depending on your medical
condition you may qualify for a wheelchair, scooter, power chair, ramp or
vehicle lift (to transport a scooter or power chair).
Step 2: Please ask the doctor or therapist to order a consult with Advanced Seating and Mobility, through the VA Purchasing Agent.
Step 3: After we have received the consult request, we will complete your evaluation at the clinic or at your home. We will identify equipment needed and submit a quote to the Prosthetics Department.
Step 4: The Prosthetics department issues a Purchase Order to Advanced Seating and Mobility. We order the equipment, assemble it and test it.
Step 5: We contact you to arrange a delivery date at the clinic, our office or at your home. We show you the proper use and care of your equipment. You are free to enjoy your equipment!
